Imagination Technologies has launched IMG DXD, the first product in a new line of high-performance GPU IP with DirectX®* support. Starting with hardware-level implementation based on DirectX 11 feature level 11_0, the new IMG DXD is all set to bring API coverage for popular PC games along with various Windows-based applications and mobile titles. This GPU IP is already licensed for use in the desktop market.

IMG DXD offers a 2.25x improvement in graphics performance compared to IMG BXT configurations and is already shipping in PCIe form-factor boards. A single IMG DXD dual-core configuration provides 5 TFLOPS FP32 and 144 GTexel/s, ensuring a smooth gaming experience for mainstream gamers. Licensees can leverage Imagination’s innovative multi-core technology to take this performance to new heights.

IMG DXD is currently being used in a variety of operating systems, including Linux, Android, Windows, as well as emerging operating systems such as UOS and Kylin OS.
